This year, Curare Skateboards, together with Skaesencia, Below Skateboards, Bucht, and Surf Skate Berlin, have organized a brand- and competition-free skateboard event at Vogelfreiheit Skatepark on Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. The focus has been purely on coming together and celebrating skateboarding in its most authentic form. There have been no sponsors, no structured format—just skateboarders gathering to ride and enjoy the day. Skaters have turned out in great numbers, shredding under a blue sky until the very last rays of sunlight. I was commissioned to photograph throughout the day.
